Among them, many listed companies were notified and punished by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment due to environmental issues.

  According to the "Report", there were 3939 listed companies on China's Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets in 2019, and a total of 1,006 valid sample companies that have issued relevant environmental responsibility reports, social responsibility reports and sustainability reports, accounting for 25.54% of the number of listed companies, compared with 2018 There were 78 more in 2015.

Among them, 607 are on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, accounting for 69.6% of the total market value of the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

At the same time, the level of environmental liability information disclosure of listed companies that issued reports has improved.

  In 2019, there are still 2,933 listed companies that have not disclosed environmental information related reports.

The evaluation found that the above-mentioned companies’ "environmental protection public welfare activities" score rate exceeded 10% for the first time, but the score rates of the two indicators "pollution discharge disclosure" and "green finance-related information" were still below 10%, indicating that the corporate pollution discharge disclosure situation was low Level, insufficient use of green finance as an economic tool.

  According to reports, according to the information notified by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in 2019, it was found that many listed companies were notified and punished by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment due to environmental issues, but this type of information was not disclosed on the company's official website, corporate social responsibility report or other related environmental reports.

  The "Report" recommends that the relevant standards for corporate environmental information disclosure should be improved.
