Dubai Statistics Center: 2798 buildings between January and October 2020

Data, announced by the Dubai Statistics Center, revealed that the total number of completed buildings in the emirate has reached 2798 new buildings, from the beginning of this year until the end of October 2020, at a rate of 280 buildings per month, at a time when October alone recorded 319 new buildings.

The data issued by Dubai Municipality indicated that private villas topped the list of completed buildings in terms of number, during that period with a rate of 1,331 buildings, followed by investment villas that registered 849 buildings, then multi-story buildings completed with 359 buildings, followed by industrial buildings with 134 buildings, while the number of buildings reached Public 125 buildings.

Statistics showed that private villas topped the list of completed buildings during the first 10 months of 2020, in terms of percentage, acquiring 47.6% of the total buildings, followed by investment villas by 30.3%, then multi-storey buildings by 12.8%, while the share of industrial buildings reached 4.8%, and public buildings 4.5%.

Buildings by month

According to the month, the data showed that January 2020 recorded 271 completed buildings, compared to 327 buildings during February, 353 buildings in March, and 229 buildings in April, while May recorded 214 buildings, June 221 buildings, and July 252 buildings, bringing the number to 237 new buildings in August, and rose to 375 buildings in September, compared to 319 buildings last October.

The investment and private villas together accounted for 77.9% of the number of completed buildings, during the period between January and October, registering 2,180 buildings.

According to "Dubai Statistics", these figures relate to buildings completed in areas subject to Dubai Municipality, during the specified period.

It is noteworthy that the number of buildings completed in Dubai during the past year amounted to 6665 new buildings, with a total value of 36 billion and 114 million dirhams, with a growth rate of 6%.
