The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation announced the establishment of the Youth Council to support and empower Emirati youth, to be future leaders in monitoring the nuclear sector in the UAE.

The authority stated in a statement yesterday that the council aims to create an environment to develop the skills of Emirati youth and support their aspirations and ideas, in preparation for preparing the future generation of young people to be leaders in the nuclear control sector, noting that the council will work to adopt initiatives to communicate with young people in various fields and provide A platform for them to be active contributors in implementing the authority's mission and strategic goals.

"The authority, as the watchdog for the nuclear and radiological sectors in the UAE, is committed to building national capabilities in the nuclear sector, as well as enabling them to lead the sector in the future," said the authority’s director general, Christer Victor.
