The Shanghai-Sutong Yangtze River Highway-Rail Bridge has a total length of 11.072 kilometers. It is the world’s first cable-stayed road-rail bridge with a span of over one kilometer independently designed and built by China.
The opening of the Shanghai-Sutong Yangtze River Bridge and the Shanghai-Sutong Railway have facilitated people's travel. The Nantong-Shanghai Railway can travel directly and only takes about one and a half hours.
