Jaguar Land Rover Future Mobility Campus Ireland -

DR

The objective of this test center is to test in real conditions the connected technologies that will allow autonomous vehicles to rub shoulders with cars, pedestrians and cyclists within the smart city.

The Future Mobility Campus Ireland (FMCI), a collaborative test bed spanning 12 km of public roads, will provide the facilities and expertise to harness valuable sensor data, to simulate a variety of road environments and scenarios. , and to test new technologies.

The all-electric Jaguar i-PACE will be used to carry out these tests.

This test infrastructure will help advance Jaguar Land Rover's research into autonomous, connected, electrified and shared vehicles.

The real-world installations will be equipped with sensors as well as high precision localization systems, a data management and control center, as well as stand-alone prototypes.

The site will be made up of smart intersections, connected roads, autonomous parking spaces and electric charging stations.

It will also include links to a 450 km section of connected motorway and a managed air traffic corridor for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Shannon Airport along the Shannon Estuary in Ireland.
