[Dancing along the Yangtze River Economic Belt, looking at high-quality development] Three Gorges tea farmers open a homestay to increase their annual income by 10,000 yuan

On November 11, Wei Guanghua, a 55-year-old tea grower, was fertilizing in Fenghuang Tea Village in Tai'an Town, Wanzhou District, Chongqing.

He grew up in this village with a long history of growing tea and has been growing tea for more than ten years.

However, in recent years, he has gained a part-time job, which is the owner of a homestay.

There are many farmers in Tai'an Town, like Wei Guanghua, who pick tea during busy periods and open homestays to increase income.

This is due to the fact that the Phoenix Mountain Flower and Fruit Scenic Area was built in Fenghuang Community in 2017, relying on natural resources such as beautiful landscapes, tea gardens, gardens, and terraces, to cultivate more than 20 scenic spots such as Shili Lotus Pond, 10,000 acres of flower valleys, and 1,000 acres of tea gardens.

In 2019, the town’s tourism revenue exceeded 30 million yuan, spurring the surrounding people to establish more than 20 new business enterprises such as catering and accommodation.

In addition, during the development of the scenic spot, Tai'an Town also explored the establishment of a "three power sharing" benefit linkage mechanism.

Enterprises have the right to operate, collectively have ownership, and the masses have the right to profit.

The total area of land resources transferred by rural households within the scope is nearly 10,000 mu, and the community collective will pay a minimum dividend of 100,000 yuan each year.

It also solves the problem of 68 long-term laborers, 8,000 seasonal laborers each year, which drives 220 households in Fenghuang, Falong and other poverty-stricken households with 4,200 laborers to earn 378,000 yuan.
