The Federal Customs Authority launched four dialogue sessions for community design, under the slogan 'Emirates Customs 2071', within the framework of the Authority’s plan to prepare for the fifty years, in line with the “Designing the Next 50 Years” project, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and President The Council of Ministers and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to involve all segments of society in designing the future of the UAE, which is supervised by the Supreme Committee for the Preparation of the Fifty, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The authority stated in a statement, yesterday, that it seeks to attract 120 participants from the elite of youth, employees, experts and specialists in the authority and local government agencies, in addition to partners from leading institutions in the private sector, within a series of dialogue sessions aimed at engaging them in developing new frameworks and perceptions And ideas for designing the future of customs in the UAE.

The first dialogue session, organized by the Authority’s Youth Council, will discuss the importance of preparing the customs sector in the UAE, the most prominent initiatives that can be implemented during the next five decades, and the role of youth in raising the level of customs work and reaching the first positions in the world. It is expected that more than 35 young people in the authority and local customs departments.

The second dialogue session, which is organized in partnership with 25 representatives of the private sector in the country, aims to discuss the main future trends affecting the customs sector, which include: e-commerce, trade facilitation, supply and supply chain, technological trends, intellectual property rights, and the future of regions. Free, in addition to the customs-related challenges facing the private sector.

The third session, with the participation of more than 25 officials from the local customs departments and the authority, deals with a set of axes related to the role of customs in protecting the security of society, facilitating customs procedures, reducing customs clearance time and managing customs risks.

The fourth panel discussion will discuss the axes related to smart customs and future trends related to digital transformation, the most prominent challenges facing this vital sector, and employing the latest technological means, including artificial intelligence and the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in implementing customs projects.
