The first week of the reconfinement in France had a low impact on electricity consumption, said the operator of the network carrying electricity, RTE, on Wednesday.
"The current consumption is 3 to 4% lower than the electricity consumption observed on average during this period", underlines RTE while during the first confinement from March 17 to May 11, between 15 and 20% of decrease had been observed.
Since the start of the school year, electricity consumption has been 2 to 3% lower than the average consumption for the period, according to RTE.
A second containment, less strict than the previous one, was put in place on October 30 in France, in an attempt to contain the rate of contamination by Covid-19.
