"On average, those who teleworked last week did so for 3.7 days compared to 2.7 days the week before. In total, 45% of employees" in the private sector "teleworked and 23% did so 100% of the time, "said Elisabeth Borne, citing the results of a Harris Interactive poll conducted last week for her ministry.

"The idea that employers are not playing the game is overwhelmingly false"

"If we zoom in on the working people who say they can easily telework, 70% teleworked at least partially" last week and "45% did so full time", adds Elisabeth Borne.

"The idea that employers would not play the game is therefore overwhelmingly false", she deduces.

But, according to the survey, among employees who worked 100% face-to-face in their company last week, 15% indicated that their employer did not allow them to telework, even partially, even though they felt they could achieve some of their tasks remotely.

"100% teleworking is not popular with employees"

Recalling that "the rule" posed by the government for the reconfinement since October 30 is that "all the activities which are teleworkable must be teleworked 100%", the Minister notes that it took a "test week", a " organization time "in companies" to determine what teleworking activities correspond to, which may vary from one workstation to another ".

However, "100% teleworking is also not popular with employees, some of whom did not have good memories of the confinement" of spring, notes Elisabeth Borne.

His ministry launched Tuesday for employees "in difficulty" of VSEs and SMEs a number "listening" (0 800 13 00 00) mobilizing "more than 70 psychologists" 24 hours a day.

For its part, the labor inspectorate "continues to provide education, advice" and "ensures that social dialogue works" in companies, said the minister.

"Last week, the teams notably observed a delay in ignition in the banking sector. So I spoke with several leaders to tell them that the rule applied to everyone and that it had to be pushed to the maximum" , she says.

"In the administration, there was also a need for a time to set up, but the situation is being improved," she assures.

The survey was conducted online from November 4 to 8 with a sample of 2,049 people representative of French people aged 18 and over (among which 1,100 active workers were represented), according to the quota method.
