Corporate invoice processing Digitization spreads movements such as stamp removal November 8 18:07

As telework spreads as a countermeasure against the new coronavirus, companies are increasingly digitizing approvals and invoice processing, pushing stamps and eliminating paper invoices.

Of these, Hitachi has decided to abolish the business of stamping stamps in its internal approval documents by the end of next fiscal year.

Instead, we utilize "electronic approval", which records who and when approved as electronic data on the Internet.

The company has a policy of utilizing telework even after the infection of the new coronavirus has subsided, with the aim of creating an environment where diverse human resources can work comfortably.

Hidenobu Nakahata, managing director, says, "We will eliminate stamps that are premised on going to work in order to work in a way that is not tied to any place or time."

In addition, the real estate company Anabuki Construction Co., Ltd. has decided to digitize paper invoices.

In the past, employees processed 20,000 invoices a year, but in June we introduced a new system for receiving invoices online.

It is a system in which business partners directly enter the amount of money etc. on a dedicated site and bill it, and the company requested the cooperation of more than 1200 business partners and was able to digitize about 98% of the billing process.

Mr. Koji Yoshigami, who was in charge, said, "It can be processed by teleworking, and since it is data instead of paper, there is no need to store it. It seems that the cost of putting invoices in envelopes has decreased for business partners."
