"For Brazilian companies, the CIIE is an excellent opportunity and platform. We can get close to Chinese customers and potential partners, and increase brand awareness." Responsible for organizing Brazilian companies to participate in the third China International Import Expo Sergio Segovia, chairman of the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency, said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency.

Looking back at the previous two CIIEs, Segovia said that many Brazilian companies have participated in them, especially those in the food sector. By letting the audience taste Brazilian specialties and show the processing process, they have gained a lot in the end.

Segovia pointed out that the CIIE has demonstrated China's important role in the global value chain.

"As Brazilian companies increasingly understand and value the huge Chinese market, they are always looking for opportunities to introduce products to China."

Although the new crown epidemic broke out this year, Segovia said that this did not dampen the enthusiasm of Brazilian companies to participate in the exhibition.

"We do our best to provide support for Brazilian products that are eager to participate, such as recommending companies to participate in online exhibition halls, or participating in activities through local distributors in China."

Segovia said that the Brazilian companies participating in this year's exhibition have all made meticulous preparations, followed the requirements of the event, made efforts to adjust, and strived to make the most of this opportunity.

We hope that Brazilian companies will return with a rewarding experience.

Looking forward to the future economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, Segovia said that due to the strong complementarity between the Pakistani and Chinese economies, he believes that bilateral trade can quickly restore vitality.

Brazil is undergoing economic reforms, which is expected to provide more opportunities for foreign investors.
