Serco provides air navigation services for Sharjah Airport

The Department of Civil Aviation in Sharjah has chosen the global "Serco Middle East" company for general services to provide air navigation services to Sharjah International Airport, after winning the tender presented by the department at the beginning of this year.

The department clarified in a statement that the contract extends for a period of five years, valid until February 28, 2025.

The contract was signed in the main building of the Civil Aviation Department and the Sharjah Airport Authority, where the head of the Sharjah Civil Aviation Department, Sheikh Khaled Essam Al Qasimi, and the CEO of Serco Middle East, Phil Malm, signed the contract in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Thani, Director of the Department of Civil Aviation and Director of Contracts at Serco, Jacobos André Fourier.

The agreement will focus on increasing the percentage of Emiratisation at Sharjah International Airport to reach 47% of the workforce by 2025, as well as raising the level of services and enhancing them continuously at Sharjah Airport, while ensuring the efficiency of operational processes and services provided in line with the latest technologies, practices and international standards as part An ambitious growth plan.  

Sheikh Khaled Essam Al Qasimi said: “At the outset, we congratulate the (Serco Middle East) Company for winning the tender to provide aviation services at Sharjah Airport, as it deserves this victory due to its long experience, and our partnership with it extends for many years, while our relationship stems.
