The Kushiro Mill, which started operations 100 years ago in 1918, continues to produce paper for newspapers and magazines, and its current production capacity is 220,000 tons per year.



However, due to sluggish economic activity due to the spread of infection in addition to the progress of digitization, domestic demand dropped sharply, so we left the power generation business in the factory and decided to end paper production in August next year. It was.



Approximately 250 employees who produced paper at the factory will be reassigned to other factories to maintain employment.
