Iranian President Hassan Rouhani echoed the words of the Iranian Supreme Leader, saying that for Iran it didn't matter who Joe Biden and Donald Trump would win the US presidential election.

For Tehran, the policy that the next US administration will pursue is much more important than the very person who wins these elections,

 " said the Iranian president.

On Tuesday, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared that the US presidential election would have “

no effect

 ” on Tehran's political line vis-à-vis Washington.

Despite these statements, many Iranians prefer a victory for Joe Biden, hoping for a less harsh policy from Washington towards Tehran and a relaxation of US sanctions which are strangling the country's economy.

Along with these statements, the Revolutionary Guards sent a very clear message to Washington by unveiling a system that allows ballistic missiles to be fired in a burst.

Our ballistic power guarantees the retreat of our enemies,

" said the head of Iran's elite army, General Salami.
