Should we reopen the shops on November 12?

And if so, under what conditions to prevent the coronavirus epidemic from further progressing in France?

These questions must be debated from this Monday in Bercy, where the various federations of traders will be received all week.

“All week long, I will be meeting with Alain Griset, the Minister in charge of SMEs, the various federations of traders (...) so that we can look with them, with the characteristics of each profession, what would be the health rules that would allow us ( …) To reopen a number of businesses, ”Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire told RTL.

Make an appointment or count at the entrance

He notably mentioned the "possibility of making an appointment" in shops, in order to regulate the arrival of customers.

These discussions will take place as the rebellion has amplified in recent days among small traders, forced to close during confinement, while supermarkets can remain open.

To appease traders and in the name of "fairness", Prime Minister Jean Castex announced Sunday that "non-essential" shelves of supermarkets should close from Tuesday.

Bruno Le Maire also called on Monday for the latter to check "by counting at the entrance to the stores" that the maximum number of customers authorized in the stores be respected, namely "one person every 4 m2".

In addition, he announced that "hairdressing at home will no longer be possible, again for the sake of equity", so that hairdressing salons, closed, are no longer disadvantaged.

He is counting on "the sense of responsibility of the French" to respect this instruction.
