A report of a highly pathogenic AI, or avian influenza infection, was received on a meat duck farm in Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do.
At the farm, which is raising about 15,000 meat ducks, suspicious symptoms such as increased chick mortality were observed, and the farmer reported it to the quarantine authorities.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs sends an initial response team to the site immediately after reporting, and conducts detailed inspection after sampling, while conducting movement control and epidemiological investigations on the farm.
