The Ministry of Economy revealed that 90 thousand new companies were registered in the UAE during the first 10 months of this year, bringing the total number of companies registered in the country at the end of last October to 690 thousand companies, compared to 600 thousand companies at the end of last year.

The ministry clarified, in new statistics published yesterday, that the total number of companies registered in the free zones operating in the country reached 67 thousand companies by the end of October, thus constituting approximately 10% of the total number of companies currently registered in the country.

She added that Dubai acquires 57.5% of the free zone companies registered in the country, with a total of 38 thousand and 515 companies, of which 13 thousand and 86 companies are in the Dubai Multi Commodities Center, and 7,622 companies are in the "Dubai South" area, of which 7,615 companies obtained licenses in the exhibition. According to the statistics, the number of companies registered in the "RAKEZ" area of ​​the Economic Zones Authority of Ras Al Khaimah is more than 15 thousand and 400 companies.

The number of companies registered in the free zones in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi reached more than 2,500 companies, of which more than 2,320 companies are in the Abu Dhabi Global Market, the rest are in the free zone of Abu Dhabi Airport, while the rest of the companies are in other free zones in the country.
