Data revealed by the Dubai Statistics Center, issued by Dubai Municipality, showed that the total number of completed buildings in the emirate reached 2,479 new buildings during the first nine months of this year, with a value of more than 24 billion dirhams, and an average of about 275 buildings per month.

In detail, data announced by the Dubai Statistics Center revealed that the total number of completed buildings in the emirate reached 2,479 new buildings since the beginning of this year until the end of September, at an average of 275 buildings per month.

The data issued by Dubai Municipality indicated that private villas topped the list of completed buildings in terms of number during the period between January and September of this year, with a rate of 1150 buildings, followed by investment villas with 781 buildings.

According to the data, the completed multi-storey buildings reached 319, ranking third, compared to 117 industrial buildings, while the number of public buildings reached 112 during the same period.

Statistics indicated that private villas also topped the list of completed buildings during the first nine months of 2020, in terms of percentage, acquiring 46.4% of the total buildings, followed by investment villas with a share of 31.5%, then multi-storey buildings with a rate of 12.9%, while the Industrial buildings 4.7%, and public buildings 4.5%.

And it showed that the total number of buildings completed in Dubai during last January reached 271, while in February it reached 327 buildings, while the number in March reached 353 buildings, while April recorded 229 buildings, bringing the total number of buildings completed in May to 214 buildings. Versus 221 buildings in June.

She added that in July, 252 new buildings were completed, bringing the number to 237 last August, while last September recorded 375 buildings.

The investment and private villas together accounted for 77.9% of the number of buildings completed, during the period between January and September, registering 1931 buildings.

According to "Dubai Statistics", these figures relate to buildings completed in areas subject to Dubai Municipality during the specified period.

In addition, the total value of buildings completed during the first nine months of this year amounted to about 24 billion dirhams, topped by multi-storey buildings, registering about 18.5 billion dirhams, followed by private villas with a value of 2.42 billion dirhams.

The value of completed public buildings reached about 1.63 billion dirhams, while investment villa buildings scored about 889 million dirhams, bringing the value of industrial buildings to about 574 million dirhams.

It is noteworthy that the number of buildings completed in Dubai last year amounted to 6665 new buildings, with a total value of 36 billion and 114 million dirhams, with a growth rate of 6%.

Last September, 375 new buildings were completed.
