It is a gesture of solidarity.

On Monday, the CEO of Cdiscount announced that the French e-commerce giant was opening its “marketplace” free of charge to the 200,000 merchants who cannot open their store during this reconfinement.

A team of around ten people was urgently set up to help them register on the site and sell "click and collect".

The company, whose head office is in Bordeaux, at Bassins à flot, promises that it will not receive any remuneration.

The subscription of 30 euros per month will be free for newcomers.

For deliveries, Cdiscount will reduce its usual margin of 12% by 50%.

This mechanism is planned over six months.

📢Cdiscount calls on small traders who have to close, to continue their online activity and offers them a dedicated system with in particular the total free subscription and commissions on orders to be withdrawn in store until the end of the year .

22 million unique visitors per month

As a reminder, only 30% of traders have an online site in France.

“Each month, we have 22 million unique visitors to Cdiscount, which is the French leader in e-commerce.

It is a third of the French population, which goes on our site.

Over the past twelve months, we have reached 10 million customers, ”recalls Emmanuel Grenier, its president.
