Renault Twingo Electric -

DR

It seems that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused a change in the behavior of motorists in Europe.

Electrified mobility is indeed gaining ground, at a faster rate than one might have imagined.

Ionity - DR

According to Ionity, there are 4 main explanations for this phenomenon.

First, more and more countries are encouraging the purchase of electric vehicles through financial aid and other conversion incentives.

Second, there is a strong demand for sustainable mobility aimed at traveling and getting around without CO2 emissions, in a carbon neutral approach.

Ionity also recalls that its network operates using 100% renewable energy, an essential aspect for the electric car to be truly CO2 neutral.

Third, people who already own an electric vehicle have likely increased their frequency of use.

Finally, as we know, due to the circulation of the virus, public transport is no longer considered one of the safest means of travel.

Let's qualify all the same by adding that the peak of recharging was observed in July 2020 and that since then the curve is sagging, this being perhaps linked to the resumption of the virus and the return to teleworking that this implies.
