National banks in Abu Dhabi and Dubai have begun granting all types of companies an exemption from bank fees if they use these services through the bank’s platform or website.

According to letters received from business owners, and Emirates Today obtained copies of them, the banks called on the dealers to carry out their banking transactions, including a check book request service, through the online business banking platform.

She emphasized that customers of the banking transaction package were exempted from the monthly fees for the Internet Business Banking service, which ranged between 150 and 200 dirhams, as of this October.

According to the banks, all business banking customers will be able to safely benefit from direct platform solutions, enabling them to save effort, time and money, by conducting salary payment transactions, money transfer, and other banking transactions anywhere and at any time. The banks revealed that the fees for requesting a check book through their electronic platforms have been reduced to 20 dirhams, compared to the fees for the same service through the branches, which amount to 100 dirhams.

It is noteworthy that the Central Bank, and with the spread of the Corona epidemic, issued a circular last April, asking banks to support small and medium enterprises.

In its circular, the Central Bank said that it would adopt new regulations aimed at bringing about a tangible reduction in the fees that merchants incur when their dealers pay through debit or credit cards, pointing out that it will issue new regulations to set limits for the fees that banks impose on dealers Companies.
