  Monitoring of third-party payment platforms showed that the total national consumption during the event was 4.24 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.7% from the previous month.

Among them, commodity consumption was about 2.63 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.4% from the previous month. Basic consumption such as food and clothing increased steadily. Upgraded commodities such as automobiles, home appliances, building materials, gold, silver and jewelry increased significantly. The national passenger car sales were 1.338 million. Service consumption was about 1.61 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.5% from the previous month.

Consumption of services such as dinner parties, leisure travel, culture and sports was released, and the transaction volume of Meituan's catering platform increased by over 15% year-on-year.

  Key e-commerce platforms achieved online retail sales of 1.06 trillion yuan, an increase of 16.1% from the previous month.

Various localities and enterprises have held more than 100,000 live events, and achieved sales of more than 40 billion yuan.

  Major e-commerce platforms and companies have widely adopted various methods to benefit consumers more than 85 billion yuan, directly driving consumption of nearly one trillion yuan.

  Wang Bin, deputy director of the Department of Consumption Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce, said that the event involved a wide range of fields, a large number of participating companies, a large overall scale, and practical measures to benefit the people.
