Civil Aviation: 1000 aircraft use the UAE's airspace daily during October

The General Authority of Civil Aviation revealed that the number of aircraft used for the country's airspace increased during the month of October to about 1000 aircraft per day, an increase of more than 200% compared to the month of April of this year.

The Director General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Saif Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, confirmed in statements to the Emirates News Agency "WAM" - that the effects that the aviation traffic faced in the world due to the outbreak of the new Corona epidemic began to gradually fade away, referring to the efforts made by the concerned authorities in the country with The civil aviation sector to contain these effects efficiently.

He also stressed the application of practical solutions that allow the safe operation of flights, while taking all precautionary measures to ensure that the spread of the epidemic is limited.

He expressed his happiness at seeing the gradual return to air traffic, expecting the continued gradual recovery of the sector in the country and the world and a full recovery.

Al-Suwaidi said that the UAE’s operation of two new national carriers during the crisis period represents an important addition to the sector, referring to Air Arabia - Abu Dhabi and Wizz Air - Abu Dhabi.
