The presidents of the main business associations in Spain have expressed strong criticism of the political class in full motion of censure and front-line attitudes by the government and the opposition.

"Enough of daydreams and demagogies,

let's go save people,

" exclaimed the president of the Spanish Chamber,

José Luis Bonet

.

"We ask the political class to work for our country in moderation", has subscribed the president of CEOE,

Antonio Garamendi.

Both have expressed themselves thus in the annual Congress of the Spanish Confederation of Directors and Executives (CEDE) that its president,

Isidro Fainé

, has organized in Valencia in person against all odds.

"As the president of Mercadona,

Juan Roig

, says, this does not have to stop. We cannot stop the economy: we have to have all the means and raise awareness in society to continue," Garamendi assured.

Bonet has affirmed that the forecasts of the Spanish Chamber are more pessimistic than those of the Government and that he fears this year a debacle of more than 14% and an unemployment rate of more than 20%.

"The alternative is to surrender and die or fight and save yourself," he exclaimed before an audience of hundreds of people with separate seats.

Both Garamendi and Bonet have clearly asked the government not to destabilize the country.

"I keep repeating it, we need stability," said Garamendi.

Bonet has included "the rule of law, the parliamentary monarchy and the separation of powers" within the principles that "must be absolutely defended", in clear reproach to the government plan to renew the judiciary or the attacks by various ministers on

Felipe VI,

who closes this executive congress.

The president of KPMG Spain,

Hilario Albarracín

, highlighted the importance of stability to take advantage of European funds to relaunch the economy.

"Businesses need stability and security and take advantage of the European fund plan, which is the biggest opportunity we have now to transform the economy and society."

"Yes, it is a great opportunity, but it will happen if we are served. It is the companies that create wealth," added the CEOE president.

which has questioned whether the Government will make good use of European funds if it does not rely on private collaboration.
