Christmas in October, really?

For several weeks now, Christmas decorations, toys and gift boxes have featured prominently in stores… three or even four weeks ahead of last year.

Why so early ?

After the losses caused by the demonstrations of the "yellow vests" and the transport strikes in recent years, traders want at all costs to save their Christmas 2020 ... and anticipate the possible effects of the health crisis on consumer purchasing behavior.

According to a study by Integral Ad Sciences, published on October 12 and revealed this Monday by

Le Monde

, 59% of European consumers say that they will start shopping before November this year.

Avoid the crowds, limit trips to the time of curfew and reinforced teleworking ... and cheer up in this period of gloom?

There can be many motivations.

And you, are you going to change your Christmas shopping habits this year?

Are you going to anticipate your purchases, favor “click and collect” (online reservation before collection in store) or online purchases?

Reduce your budget or on the contrary make you happy?
