The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs stated that the national pig production capacity has recovered to more than 80% of the normal year.

　　According to the monitoring of Souzhu.com, after the long holiday of November in 2020, the national average price of lean pigs for slaughter has fallen below 32 yuan/kg.

From the perspective of national regional distribution, the province with the highest price is Hainan Province, which is close to 37 yuan/kg, and the province with the lowest price, Heilongjiang Province, has fallen below 29 yuan/kg.

　　Xia Chenfeng, a pig analyst at Rural Credit Union, pointed out that both the increase in the supply side and the decline in the consumption side have driven down meat prices, and there is still room for a certain drop in pig prices in the short term.

Xia Chenfeng said: “On the one hand, the live pig and sow stocks have continued to rise steadily. On the other hand, the demand for pork has been rising slowly due to high meat prices. It is expected that there will still be room for a certain drop in pig prices in the short term.

　　According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as of now, the national stock of live pigs and reproductive sows has recovered to the level of more than 80% of normal years, and the proportion of large-scale pig breeding has increased to 53%.
