According to the website of the National Bureau of Statistics, in September, the decline in raw coal production of industrial enterprises above designated size expanded slightly, crude oil production was stable, natural gas production accelerated, and power production slowed down.

  The decline in raw coal production expanded slightly.

In September, 330 million tons of raw coal were produced, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%, and the rate of decrease was 0.8 percentage points higher than the previous month; the average daily output was 11.04 million tons, an increase of 530,000 tons from the previous month.

From January to September, 2.79 billion tons of raw coal were produced, down 0.1% year-on-year.

  The decline in coal imports continued to expand.

In September, imported coal was 18.68 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.98 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 38.3%, and the rate of decrease was 1.0 percentage point larger than the previous month; from January to September, imported coal was 240 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.4%.

  The comprehensive transaction price of coal at the port increased.

On October 9th, coal prices of 5,500, 5,000, and 4,500 at Qinhuangdao Port were 578, 524, and 466 yuan per ton, respectively, up 29, 29, and 27 yuan from September 4.

  Crude oil production was stable and the processing growth rate dropped.

In September, 16.1 million tons of crude oil was produced, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%, and the growth rate was 0.1 percentage point higher than the previous month; 57.35 million tons of crude oil was processed, an increase of 1.3%, a decrease of 7.9 percentage points from the previous month.

From January to September, 146.25 million tons of crude oil was produced, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%; 500 million tons of crude oil was processed, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%.

  The growth rate of crude oil imports accelerated and international crude oil prices fell.

In September, 48.48 million tons of crude oil was imported, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%, and the growth rate was 5.0 percentage points higher than the previous month.

From January to September, 420 million tons of crude oil were imported, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%.

On September 30, the spot FOB price of Brent crude oil was US$40.30/barrel, down 10.9% from US$45.22/barrel on August 28.

  Natural gas production has accelerated.

In September, natural gas production was 14.4 billion cubic meters, an increase of 7.6% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 3.9 percentage points higher than the previous month; the average daily output was 490 million cubic meters, an increase of 30 million cubic meters from the previous month.

From January to September, 137.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas was produced, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%.

  The growth rate of natural gas imports fell.

In September, 8.66 million tons of natural gas were imported, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%, and the growth rate dropped by 7.7% from the previous month.

From January to September, 73.73 million tons of natural gas were imported, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%.

  The growth rate of power production has slowed down.

In September, power generation was 631.5 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%, and the growth rate was 1.5 percentage points lower than the previous month; the average daily power generation was 21.05 billion kWh, a decrease of 2.3 billion kWh from the previous month.

From January to September, the power generation was 548.6 billion kWh, an increase of 0.9% year-on-year.

  In terms of varieties, in September, the growth rate of thermal power and wind power fell, while the growth rate of hydropower, nuclear power, and solar power accelerated.

Among them, thermal power increased by 0.2% year-on-year, a decrease of 6.0 percentage points from the previous month; wind power increased by 11.3%, a decrease of 7.4 percentage points; hydropower increased by 22.8%, an acceleration of 13.9 percentage points; nuclear power increased by 7.4%, an acceleration of 6.5 percentage points; solar power increased by 4.0 %, an increase of 1.9 percentage points.
