The love and comfort your dog or cat brings to you is priceless.

On the other hand, meeting their needs and taking care of their health, yes.

According to a study conducted by ProntoPro.fr, a platform for connecting individuals with trusted professionals, ensuring their well-being would cost on average 1,150 euros per year.

A not insignificant budget, which can even go up to 2,740 euros when the owners resort to professional guards (11 euros per hour on average) or grooming (approximately 40 euros).

From feeding to training

Among the first items of expenditure, we find of course veterinary costs, with 70 euros for the implantation of a microchip, 120 euros for the sterilization of a cat and 273 euros for that of a dog (this price also varying according to the sex of the animal), 120 euros for the first compulsory vaccines then 70 euros for the reminders, and about 40 euros for the annual control visits.

The purchase of basic supplies (bowls, basket, leash, etc.) costs nearly 200 euros, while for food, there are 60 euros per month for a small cat or dog, and up to 150 euros for a bigger mastiff.

Finally, if you opt for dressage lessons, you will have to pay 30 euros per hour, for a total of around 300 euros.
