In order to bring the shopping district that was hit by the new coronavirus to a lively atmosphere, the country will carry out a campaign called "Go To Shopping District".

Of these, the shopping district in Matsue City is scheduled to start the event from the 20th, the earliest in the country, and it will be watched whether it will lead to the stimulation of depressed demand.

"Go To Shopping Street" is a campaign in which the national government subsidizes up to 3 million yen for events held by the shopping street to regain its bustle, and 34 projects from 19 prefectures nationwide have been adopted.

Of these, the shopping district in Matsue City will start the event on the 20th, the earliest in Japan.

The event will be held in three shopping districts: Matsue Tenjinmachi Shopping Street, Vertical Town Shopping Street, and Matsue Station Hondori Shopping Street.

In the three shopping districts, the video posting site "YouTube" will be used to post the appeal of each store 48 times.

We are also planning to produce a short movie to promote the shopping district and to jointly develop new specialties such as restaurants.

Of these, Matsue Tenjinmachi Shopping Street has seen a decrease in sales of more than half compared to the average year due to the impact of the new Corona.

Mr. Toshio Nakamura, Chairman of Matsue Tenjinmachi Shopping Street, said, "As the shopping street declines year by year, the new Corona has become a further boost. I want to make the campaign useful in thinking about how to make it happen. "
