China News Service, Tianjin, October 18 (Reporter Zhang Daozheng) Tianjin Port Group, together with port companies in the Bohai Sea Rim, jointly released the "Bohai Rim Port Enterprises Joint External Service Initiative" on the 17th, providing in-depth services for the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and the construction of the Xiong'an New District. National strategy and "One Belt One Road" construction; join hands to promote the construction of Tianjin Northern International Shipping Hub, and help form a new pattern of domestic and foreign "dual cycle" mutual development.

On the same day, the 20th Anniversary Promotion Conference of Tianjin Port Rim Bohai Branch Line Service was held in Tianjin Binhai New Area.

More than 300 representatives from the government, ports, shipping, logistics, industry associations and corporate customers gathered together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Bohai Rim branch line.

Twenty years ago, with China's accession to the WTO, the "Xiangchun" ship of Puhai Shipping carried more than 200 containers from Dalian to Tianjin, which opened the curtain of maritime transportation on the Bohai Rim branch line.

At that time, this measure was groundbreaking in the history of China's container shipping development, setting up a fast sea channel for the import and export of containers in ports around the Bohai Sea.

As a pioneer and witness, Puhai Shipping and Tianjin Port have worked hand in hand for the past 20 years, which embodies great wisdom, great perseverance and great skill.

Luo Hailin, general manager of Shanghai Puhai Shipping Co., Ltd., said that the Bohai Rim feeder service is one of the company’s core sectors. At present, the company has planned to invest more than 10 self-operated ships and a capacity of 8,000 TEUs, with 30 ships per week. The density is linked to Tianjin Port.

With the continuous investment of the majority of ship operators, the annual transport volume of the Bohai Rim branch line has grown from a few thousand boxes in the initial period to 700,000 boxes in 2019; from the earliest small number of unscheduled shift operations, it now has 17 ships, There are more than 120 flights per month, and the development achievements are remarkable.

However, all this is mainly due to the "a game of chess" of Tianjin and Hebei ports under the national strategy of coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

According to statistics, at present, more than 80% of the traffic in the Bohai Rim branch line comes from Tianjin and Hebei ports.

Chen Lixin, vice president of Qinhuangdao Port Co., Ltd., stated that as a dual-listed platform subsidiary of Hebei Port Group's main port operation business, it mainly manages and operates related terminals in Qinhuangdao Port Area, Caofeidian Port Area and Cangzhou Port Area, which are located in Tianjin Port. On the east and west wings, its container terminals and Tianjin Port have steadily operated several Bohai Rim branch lines. Especially after the establishment of the new Tianjin-Huanghua “Two Points One Shipping” operation mode, the scale of transportation has continued to grow rapidly.

Wisdom empowerment, press the "fast forward button" for high-quality development in the Bohai Rim branch.

Since the beginning of this year, Tianjin Port Group has "quality first" to build a collaborative platform for the Bohai Rim branch line, using "big data" to strengthen information interaction and resource matching, and enhance the intelligent level of Tianjin Port's operations.

In addition, the “Daily Shift” implements a green channel with priority on waterways, berths, operations, and evacuation to ensure 100% direct arrival of ships and help traffic increase by more than 60% year-on-year.

At this promotion conference, Tianjin Port Group, Liaoning Port Group Co., Ltd., Yantai Port Group Co., Ltd., Tangshan Port Group Co., Ltd., Qinhuangdao Port Co., Ltd. and other 12 port companies jointly issued the "Bohai Rim Port Enterprise Joint External Service The Initiative" promises to connect land and sea, coordinate and innovate a new multimodal transport model, and jointly build a world-class port cluster around the Bohai Sea.
