It was belatedly revealed that a worker in his 30s at Hanjin Courier was recently found dead.

The National Courier Coalition Union announced on the 12th that a courier worker Kim Mo, who works at an agency in the Dongdaemun branch of Hanjin Express, was found dead at home.

When Mr. Kim didn't go to work, the sales manager called 119 and opened the door of Mr. Kim's house and found him dead.

The union estimates that Mr. Kim died because he was unable to endure overwork.

An official from the union explained, "On the 8th, a few days before the deceased was hidden, 420 units were loaded and delivered on the same day, and a text message was sent to the agency manager stating that it was 5 am when work was over."

He also said, "It seems that the deceased died because he was unable to endure a very high level of working hours, such as working until dawn on the 7th and returning home at 2 o'clock.

In response, Hanjin Express said that the usual amount of parcels handled by Mr. Kim is around 200, and that there is no problem with labor intensity.

As for the cause of death, the company claimed that it is believed to be due to a chronic disease related to cardiovascular disorders, and that it is not overworked.
