This is one of the major challenges of the recovery plan: the energy renovation of buildings.

To set an example for individuals, the state pledged, at the end of August, to devote four billion euros to the insulation and renovation of faculties, police stations and other public buildings.

More than 4,000 files have been filed for a total amount of nearly 8 billion euros.

Rennes 1 law university, several police stations ...

One of the most expensive is that of the Faculty of Law of Rennes 1, which is budgeted at more than 10 billion euros for a renovation of the facade and the ventilation system.

Another area, another project: in Grasse, it is the police station and staff housing that must be renovated at an estimated cost of seven million euros.

Ditto in Saint-Étienne, where three million euros are planned for insulation work and the replacement of radiators.

In Bastia, a facelift is planned for the police station.

As for Chevilly-Larue, in Val-de-Marne, two new buildings are to be built for the police headquarters.

On the other side of France, in Montauban, a huge project of destruction and construction of the vast majority of administrative offices is planned.

Total cost of the operation: 15 million euros.
