  Although the technology of scientific and technological grain storage has been very perfect, the warehouse directly under Songyuan is still "very traditional."

"We are still continuing the traditional sensory identification methods of'hand touch, foot trip, tooth bite, nose smell' to see if the quality of food has changed." Wang Shiwei told reporters.

  Wang Shiwei said that the staff check the grain temperature of the whole warehouse every morning, record whether there is any change, and compare it with the temperature of the previous day.

"If the grain temperature rises by 0.5 to 1 degree Celsius for more than 3 days, the grain conditions will change, and we need to take measures, especially in the hot summer, we must ensure at least two inspections a day."

  Wang Shiwei also said that due to the long winter time and low temperature in Northeast China, the low-temperature storage of grains delays the deterioration of quality and can achieve the greatest degree of freshness preservation. This has also created the unique advantage of Northeast grain storage.
