During his speech on television on Wednesday, announcing new measures against the coronavirus, Emmanuel Macron announced exceptional aid intended for beneficiaries of APL and RSA.

According to him, this measure aims to fight against extreme poverty by returning to work.

Emmanuel Macron answered questions from journalists on France 2 and TF1 on Wednesday about the management of the coronavirus health crisis.

After admitting that the poorest could suffer from the social consequences of this crisis, the Head of State announced "exceptional aid" for the beneficiaries of the RSA and the APL.

"The most precarious, [those] who fall into poverty, we must have an answer," he said.

For six weeks, citizens receiving social minima will benefit from aid of 150 euros to which will be added 100 euros for each dependent child.

"[This] will allow going between 100 and 450 euros, which is more than a revaluation," he added.
