As of June 2020, the number of online audiovisual users in my country has reached 901 million, and the utilization rate of Internet users is 95.8%. Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, netizens' entertainment demand continues to shift to online, driving the further growth of online audiovisual users.

The report shows that as of June this year, the number of short video users in my country has reached 818 million, accounting for 87.0% of the total netizens. Among them, the average daily usage time of short video applications per capita is 110 minutes, which exceeds that of instant messaging applications.

Zhou Jie, executive deputy secretary-general of the China Network Audiovisual Program Service Association, believes that short video functions are no longer limited to entertainment, but have penetrated into all aspects of life, assuming multiple roles including news and education.

As of June this year, the number of live webcast users in my country has reached 562 million, of which e-commerce live broadcast users are 309 million, accounting for 32.9% of the total netizens.

As a hot product marketing method, e-commerce live broadcast has become an important means of helping farmers alleviate poverty and fighting epidemics and disaster relief.

  Wang Xiaohong, director of the China Online Video Research Center, believes that video has become a ubiquitous productivity.

The report pointed out that in the coming year, the network audio-visual field will show an obvious trend of "improving quality and reducing quantity", the development of short videos will promote changes in the market structure, and the cloud model is expected to become a new direction for industry development.
