A test drive event was held for the media before the operation of JR's new sightseeing train "36 Plus 3", which goes around each prefecture in Kyushu, started on the 16th of this month.

JR Kyushu's new sightseeing train "36 Plus 3" is named after "Kyushu is the 36th largest island in the world".

On the 12th, a test drive event for the route connecting Nagasaki Station and Hakata Station was held for the media.

The 6-car train, which seats about 100 people, is a modified version of the "787 series" currently used as a limited express train, and all seats are green and have private rooms.

Of these, Car 1 is the first JR Kyushu sightseeing train to have a tatami-matted interior, so you can take off your shoes and relax.

In addition, a buffet is set up in Car 3, where you can taste udon and potato shochu from Nagasaki Prefecture.

The route of Nagasaki Station and Hakata Station named "Kin no Michi" runs on the Nagasaki Main Line, and you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Ariake Sea and Unzen / Fugendake from the train window.

Yosuke Towa, the director of JR Kyushu Nagasaki Station, said, "There are several sightseeing trains running in JR Kyushu, but this is the first sightseeing train that connects Kyushu in one circle. As many people as possible can see the charm of Kyushu and Nagasaki. I want you to experience it. "

This train will connect various parts of Kyushu from 16th this month, and the section connecting Nagasaki Station and Hakata Station will operate every Monday from 19th this month.
