According to IEA forecasts, in 2020 global oil demand will decline by 8% (8 million barrels per day) compared to 2019.

"In 2021, the demand for oil will grow by 5 million barrels per day and return to pre-crisis levels by about 2023," RIA Novosti reported.

At the same time, global oil demand is expected to reach a plateau in 2030.

"From 2030, it will reach a plateau, and the annual growth will be 0.1 million barrels per day," the agency's experts say.

In September, Stanislav Mitrakhovich, a leading expert of the National Energy Security Fund and the Financial University under the Government of Russia, in an interview with the Economics Today FBA, assessed the situation on the oil market.
