Dubai Economy closed a restaurant, violated 8 commercial establishments, and warned 3 for non-compliance with the precautionary measures to limit Covid-19, during inspection campaigns carried out by field inspection teams of the Commercial Supervision and Consumer Protection Sector that included many open markets and commercial centers.

The Dubai Economy stated that during the visits, a restaurant was closed in cooperation with Dubai Tourism, due to lack of commitment to precautionary measures, while 7 bodybuilding gyms in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council were violated, in addition to a violation of a retail store.

5 of the violations were issued due to the non-compliance of workers in the violating facilities to wear masks, and 3 violations due to the facilities' failure to take the necessary measures to take into account the physical distance.

The sites of violating establishments included shopping centers, in addition to the areas of Al Quoz, Al Sabkha, Al Nahda, and Business Bay.

On the other hand, field inspection teams at the Dubai Economic Department have warned 3 establishments not to put stickers on physical distancing.

While the number of establishments meeting the conditions and precautionary measures reached 853.

Dubai Economy stressed that the competent authorities in the department will continue their intensive efforts in various parts of the emirate, and will not tolerate violations and transgressions.

The Dubai Economy called on all segments of society to cooperate and contribute to preserving the gains achieved by the Emirate of Dubai, in addition to the continuity of the economic wheel in the emirate in a safe and natural way.
