Unauthorized withdrawal damage through "docomo account" to 28.42 million yen as of 7th October 8th 21:25

NTT DoCoMo announced that as of the 7th, there were 125 cases, or 28.42 million yen, of illegal withdrawal of deposits and savings at banks in various regions through the electronic payment service "DoCoMo Account".

It has become clear that deposits and savings are illegally withdrawn from the accounts of regional banks and Japan Post Bank that are linked to the electronic payment service "docomo account".

NTT DoCoMo announced that as of 6:00 pm on the 7th, 125 cases of damage were revealed, amounting to 28.42 million yen.

Until now, the number and amount of damages have been announced based on reports from banks such as "suspicion of fraudulent withdrawals."

However, there were cases where it was later discovered that the withdrawal was made by the user himself, so from this time onward, as a result of investigations by DoCoMo and the bank, it is said that the withdrawal was determined to be fraudulent.

Of the 35 banks linked to Docomo accounts, 29 are still suspending remittances from their bank accounts to Docomo accounts.
