Current account surplus in August decreased for 6 consecutive months October 8 9:07

According to the balance of payments statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, the current account balance in August was a surplus of 2,102.8 billion yen, showing how much Japan earned through foreign trade and financial transactions.

The surplus was 32.3 billion yen lower than the same month of the previous year, a decrease of 1.5%.



It is the sixth consecutive month that the surplus has fallen below the same month of the previous year.
