Support the economy, despite the health crisis.

Bruno Le Maire announced on Thursday that access to the Solidarity Fund, set up this summer, would be extended to new activities and companies with up to 50 employees, against 20 so far.

Entrepreneurs who have recorded a loss of 70% of their turnover due to the health crisis linked to Covid, against 80% previously, will now be eligible, he said.

The solidarity fund had been reserved since July for the tourism, culture and sport sectors.

1.7 million companies have already benefited

It will now be open to 31 other activities including car rental companies, florists, booksellers on the Quais de Paris, the manufacture of foie gras, advertising agencies, retail laundry and dyeing, travel insurance brokers, or again consulting in public relations and communication, according to Bercy.

The solidarity fund, which since this summer concerned 150,000 companies, will benefit 75,000 additional companies, said Bruno Le Maire during a joint press briefing with his healthcare counterpart Olivier Véran.

Bruno Le Maire recalled that this solidarity fund had benefited since the start of the health crisis to 1.7 million companies, for a total amount exceeding 6 billion euros.

"We will continue to protect employees and companies as long as the health crisis is there," he promised.
