The government unveiled on Monday the new scale of "My Renovation Premium", which should make thermal renovation work more affordable.

The building sector welcomes this measure but underlines, through the voice of the President of the Building Federation Olivier Salleron invited from Europe 1, the inadequacies of this scale for high incomes.

Invited to the microphone of Europe 1 on Monday, Olivier Salleron, president of the Building Federation, returned to the launch of the "Ma Prime Rénov" aid which should make it possible to make thermal renovation work more accessible.

A new scale was published on Monday and should allow all French people to access this bonus without income conditions.

"This is a very important part of the recovery plan, welcomed Olivier Salleron. We have been listened to since all tax homes have been reintegrated into the" My Prime Rénov "device. The president of the Building Federation believes on the other hand, an additional effort could have been made on the scales, in order to better help better-off households. "For the better-off households, renovations can cost up to 60,000 euros.

So if they have no help, they will do the minimum and keep their thermal strainer, ”explains Olivier Salleron.

An extended premium

The system has also been extended to co-owners but also to owner-lessors, who will be able to renovate the properties they make available to tenants.

"And I can tell you that it was not won, breaths Olivier Salleron. We had to fight all summer."

The renovation bonus proposed by the government should be fairly generous, since its amount ranges from 2,000 to 20,000 euros.

The government has published tables so that homeowners can estimate the amount of assistance to which they are entitled.

An online simulator is also available for a more precise figure.

"It's very motivating, because we all want to be well housed, especially after the period we have just lived, marked by the covid."

Upcoming parliamentary debates

For the government, this bonus represents an investment of 2 billion euros, spread over two years.

A "big boost" for the building sector, which however has a reservation.

This is based on the timetable for the implementation of the bonus, since it has not yet been voted on by Parliament.

The law will be promulgated, if the vote goes smoothly, on January 1, 2021. The building sector fears that this delay will dissuade owners from carrying out quotes and work at the end of 2020. "We will have to be very persuasive towards our customers, since they are the ones who make us work. We will also have to explain to them the contours of the premium, so that they are in the nails and that they do not have any bad surprises next January. "
