Etihad Airways includes the cost of the PCR examination into the price of tickets from Abu Dhabi

  Etihad Airways announced that it will add the cost of the PCR examinations to the airfare for guests traveling from Abu Dhabi International Airport, excluding those traveling to China, from October 1 to December 31, 2020.



The company is cooperating with the Life Medical Diagnostic Center (Life Dx) to provide the checks 48 to 96 hours before the date of travel at its branches in the UAE.

Business and first class passengers can also choose to have the screening done at their home.

An appointment for the tests can be booked at the Life Dx website.

The core concept of this solution is to increase the capacity of the Life DX Central Laboratory to around "40 thousand examinations per day using fully automated robotic systems and the establishment of a wide network of sample collection centers through establishing partnerships with medical service providers throughout the country, so that guests can easily book appointments electronically to conduct the examination from the place and at a time that suits them before traveling."



As for travelers from Abu Dhabi to China, they are subject to specific examination laws and can only perform the checks at Abu Dhabi Health Services - Health centers, and they must present a negative COVID-19 test result within a maximum of 48 hours before the take-off time, to allow them to board the plane.



Passengers from Abu Dhabi are also required to show a negative Covid-19 test result 96 hours before the flight departure, and test the antibodies for travelers to Morocco.



For those wishing to conduct the examination independently, Etihad Airways has cooperated with Abu Dhabi Health Services Company - Sehha and Mediclinic to provide the examination for those wishing to conduct it in their homes or in the branches of the two organizations in the UAE for a specific fee before the date of travel.
