A year before the start of the major global event, the United Arab Emirates is ready to host the first International Expo, to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, as all work teams in various vital local, federal and private sectors are ready to receive more than 190 participating countries. And looks forward to welcoming millions of visitors to an ideal platform, built with creativity collecting architectural art and the latest international technologies with the aim of enhancing cooperation and embodying the slogan "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future."
With 365 days remaining since the opening of the «Expo 2020 Dubai» its doors to the whole world, anticipation and enthusiasm reach their peak at the 4.38 square kilometers site, which will host the largest event in the Arab world.
And in October of next year, Expo 2020 will invite the world to enter its arena, celebrate life and return to discovery in the first major event held to reconnect people, cultures and community members since the Covid-19 pandemic.
With a unique program of daily events and programs, and a diverse and exceptional display of arts, urbanism, entertainment, culture and technology, and international cuisine, the international event will be keen to celebrate the spirit of humanity, its capacity for creativity, and its quest for optimism in the face of difficulties.
Despite the outbreak of the "Covid-19" epidemic, progress on the Expo 2020 site continued at its rapid pace, as the site witnessed the completion of more than 210 million hours of work, and the completion of all permanent construction of the Expo.
The work of preparing buildings, landscaping and constructing country pavilions will be completed at the end of this year.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “The countdown has begun for a year to the start of an event that the leadership of the UAE wanted to be exceptional, befitting the ambitious achievements of our country, which next year will light its fiftieth birthday, and will celebrate with the world its golden jubilee , And its development strategy for the next fifty years ».
