It was investigated that the online food market has grown significantly in the aftermath of Corona 19 this year.



According to today's (30th) Food Industry Statistical Information of the Korea Food Service Distribution Corporation, the online food market size in the first half of this year increased 56.5% from the first half of last year to 19 trillion won.



In particular, the amount of transactions in the online food market in March, when the number of corona19 confirmed cases increased sharply, was KRW 3.4 trillion, an increase of 10.9% from the previous month.



The Korea Agriculture and Fisheries Food Distribution Corporation analyzed that the online food market grew as non-face-to-face consumption was activated due to the corona 19 effect.



It was found that there were 23 so-called '1 trillion club food manufacturing businesses' that recorded more than 1 trillion won in annual sales last year.



Among these companies, 17 were with sales growth compared to 2018.



CJ CheilJedang ranked first in sales with 5.883 trillion won, 2 trillion won in sales, Lotte Chilsung Beverage with 2.43 trillion won in third place, and 2 trillion won in fourth place. Ottogi with 19 billion won and Nongshim won 1,96 billion won in fifth place.
