The Dubai Customs Department announced yesterday that the total value of the emirate's foreign trade in coffee recorded 3.5 billion dirhams, over the past 10 years, noting that Dubai is a developed logistical hub linking the rapidly growing consumer markets in the Middle East and Europe with coffee-producing countries around The world, such as: Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Uganda and Vietnam.

Statistics revealed by Dubai Customs, on the occasion of the International Coffee Day, which falls on the first of October of each year, showed that the total value of Dubai's foreign trade in coffee during the first half of this year recorded a growth of 5%, to reach 253 million dirhams. Compared to 240 million dirhams for the same period last year, while the total amount of Dubai's foreign trade of coffee reached 14 thousand tons for the first half of this year.

The list of the most important partners in Dubai's coffee imports includes many countries, including Switzerland with a trade value of 33 million dirhams, Italy with a value of 23 million dirhams, and Brazil with a value of 22 million dirhams, for the first half of 2020.

As for the most important partners in the export and re-export of coffee, in the same period, the Sultanate of Oman comes first with a value of 5.8 million dirhams, then Saudi Arabia with 5.1 million dirhams, and Kuwait with a value of five million dirhams.
