Emirates Global Aluminum announced yesterday that it has successfully converted its training center, and all its educational and development programs for employees, into digital educational platforms, to continue developing talent during the period of the "Covid-19" pandemic.

In a statement, the company revealed that since February of this year, it has registered more than 40,000 use of educational digital platforms, which have been specifically developed to support distance education.

The CEO of Emirates Global Aluminum, Abdul Nasser bin Kalban, said: “Training our employees, developing their skills and developing them is fundamental to our future and our entrepreneurship.

It was necessary for us to continue our educational programs, during the pandemic period, and we also continued to work in various fields of our work, as the pandemic forced us to quickly adapt to the new reality.

Emirates Global Aluminum also confirmed its success in accomplishing the digital transformation of the complete training framework for the “National Training” program, which includes theoretical and practical training for the company's operational and technical tasks.

Currently, 64 young Emiratis are participating in the program in a meaningful and fruitful training experience, through full-time virtual educational classes.

It is noteworthy that the company launched a national training program since 1982, which targets the category of young citizens, who have not completed their school or university education.

The company's employees have digital access to more than 2,500 training courses, accredited by the top 190 international universities, through the edX platform.

The company also provides employees with access to the "LinkedIn educational" platform, which provides content on more than 16,000 business-related topics from experts and global leaders.
