[Explanation] On September 27, the China Academy of Macroeconomics held a seminar in Beijing. Many experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Center for International Economic Exchanges, and China Academy of Macroeconomics discussed "new opportunities in the new development stage" new challenge".

[Explanation] Wang Changlin, Dean of the Chinese Academy of Macroeconomics, said that the current global spread of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the international situation is complicated, and uncertainties are increasing.

While the pressure and challenges facing the Chinese economy have increased, more opportunities have also emerged.

We should say that China has never been so close to our technological revolution and industrial transformation, and has such a good foundation.

New industrial changes also provide us with great opportunities. We estimate that, for example, new-generation information technology, our biomedicine, including energy conservation and environmental protection, and new energy, these may all become the emerging pillar industries in the future. It may exceed 10 trillion.

Coupled with the upgrading of our demand structure, such as cultural tourism, health and elderly care, for example, these include the production service industry, which brings a great opportunity.

[Explanation] Han Yongwen, vice chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchange, believes that in the face of new changes, accelerating the formation of a new development pattern with the domestic cycle as the main body and the domestic and international dual cycles promoting each other is the transformation and upgrading of China's economy and high-quality development Objective needs.

China needs to further release the potential of domestic demand, which will provide new and lasting impetus for economic development.

Building a complete domestic demand system and expanding consumer demand are important strategic bases.

In 2019, my country's final consumption accounted for 55.4% of GDP, and the proportion of residents' final consumption in final consumption was only 38.8%, which is even lower.

Our country should accelerate the reversal of this uncoordinated development situation by advancing systematic reforms and policy arrangements, and make consumption, especially household consumption, the main force that stabilizes and stimulates economic growth.

[Explanation] The new development pattern "dominates the domestic cycle" does not mean to return to a closed state.

Bi Jiyao, vice president of the China Institute of Macroeconomics, believes that China should further open up, increase independent research and development, and truly realize the mutual promotion of domestic and international double cycles.

China's economy has been deeply integrated into the world economy, and it cannot be decoupled at once.

Therefore, we have to further open up.

A series of things now show that the security of this kind of supply chain in the global industrial chain is also an issue that is very worthy of attention.

This also means that we must increase our independent research and development of our key technologies, core components, high-end equipment, etc., and implement partial import substitution, so that we can avoid this kind of cut-off risk.
