He indicated that "Expo Live", the innovation and international partnership program, aims to support projects that provide innovative solutions to pressing challenges, in a way that helps improve people's lives or protect the planet, explaining that the "Expo Live Innovation Impact Grants" program already supports 140 projects. From 76 countries.

The office revealed that 140 projects from 76 countries have received grants and have guaranteed funding, guidance and spread, as global innovators receive grants, each of which amounts to 367,000 dirhams ($ 100,000), indicating that Expo Live has received more than 11,000 Participation requests from 184 countries.

He pointed out that more than 200 participating entities, in addition to multilateral organizations, educational institutions and companies, as well as millions of visitors, will meet to celebrate Expo 2020 Dubai.

The office said that more than 190 countries have confirmed their participation in the upcoming event, which means exceeding the target number of participations in the hosting file, which was 180 countries when the file was submitted in 2013.


The office stated that "Expo 2020 Dubai" will provide all participating countries with a platform to showcase their best culture, innovations and progress, pointing out that for the first time in the history of the World Expo, each participating country will have its own pavilion, as dozens of countries have already unveiled the designs of their pavilions. .


The office confirmed that all permanent construction of the "Expo" was completed by the end of last year, indicating that during the current year work was focused on coordinating the landscapes of the Expo site and equipping the buildings owned by the international event.

He mentioned that the exhibition entrance gates, made of carbon fibers, were also revealed to form interlocking structures inspired by the mashrabiya, each with a height of 21 meters, adding that more than 210 million hours of work on the Expo 2020 site have been completed to date.


The office said that 30,000 volunteers from a diverse social fabric residing in the UAE will be "the face of Expo 2020 Dubai", indicating that more than 130,000 individuals have expressed their desire to volunteer to work with Expo 2020 Dubai so far.
