Dubai Economy violates 24 commercial establishments and warns of 5 others for not adhering to the precautionary measures

Yesterday, field inspection teams of the Commercial Supervision and Consumer Protection Sector in Dubai Economy carried out 684 inspection visits and inspection tours to a number of open centers and shopping centers throughout the emirate, with the aim of ensuring that all commercial establishments adhere to precautionary measures aimed at curbing the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the tours, 24 commercial establishments, 17 of them, were violated due to the non-commitment of their workers to wear masks, and 7 establishments for non-compliance with physical distancing procedures.

The violations included establishments operating in the retail sector as well as a consumer complex and in the field of general trade, electronics trade, mobile phone trade, ready-to-wear trade, perfume trade, air-conditioning spare parts trade, and shoe trade. Violating establishments were distributed on the sites of Al Mamzar, Al Sabkha, Naif and Muhaisnah 4, to Alongside a number of commercial centers.

In addition, the field inspection teams alerted 5 other establishments due to not placing the stickers for physical distancing, while the number of facilities that meet the conditions and precautionary measures reached 655.

The Dubai Economy called on the various groups and segments of society to preserve the gains achieved by the Emirate of Dubai during the current stage, which in turn contributed to the gradual return to the practice of commercial activities, leading to the opening of all sectors and the re-circulation of the economy in its natural form ... indicating that it will not tolerate the violations and abuses that were made. It is monitored or reported by both the consumer and the transacting public.
